Step1. Set targeting properties in advance on virtual printer
To set PDF or PS properties, please click icon of this installed printer in panel Printers and Faxes with right button of mouse, and then, click Printing Preferences on dropdown list in order to open its panel, which is as shown as first picture below:
As you can see, in this panel, under tab Layout, orientation of targeting file could be set as Portrait, Landscape or Rotated Landscape; also page order to print could be selected as Front to Back or Back to Front, etc..
Then, to edit other properties, please click tab Paper/Quality, and then, targeting color type, e.g., black and white or colorful, can be selected, as well as paper source, which could be referred to in following snapshot. Then, to set further properties of PDF or PS, just click Advanced button.
In Advanced Options panel, you can set paper size, e.g., A4, etc., edit print quality through DPI, e.g., 600dpi, etc., set scaling of targeting file, e.g., 100% or 88%, etc., and edit PS options, such as PS languages level 3, etc., and you can click related edit-boxes and type them or select them separately to realize settings. And finally, please click OK on this panel to save advanced settings on PDF and PS, and here is snapshot about setting on advanced options panel:
And after you go back on Printing Preferences panel, please click Apply on that panel to apply all setting here, and finally, to close this panel, just click OK directly.
Step2. Print PS or PDF from any printable file with virtual printer
e-PDF Converter and Creator Printer supports printing any printable files to PDF or PS files, here I use example to print web page to PDF/PS to show you how to print them with virtual printer:
- Open web page on screen
- Click hotkey ctrl + P to open Print panel
- On Print panel, just select e-PDF Converter and Creator Printer as destination printer, after you check preview page on the right of Print panel, finally, to set targeting folder and targeting format, please click Print on this panel, and after basic work here is done, printed PDF or printed PS file could be produced into destination folder after process on selected virtual printer
